Business Is Personal
One of the things that always bothered me about the, “business” world was the saying, “It’s not personal, it’s just business.”
I think that statement is a crock of shit.
Business IS personal. Doing business is how one earns the money that pays your bills. It’s how you put your children through college. It’s how you own your home, and to the very basic pieces of life, it is how you feed yourself. If that isn’t personal, I don’t know what is.
I believe that statement was fashioned by those that wish to screw you, and not take responsibility for screwing you.
So I don’t fly with that statement. It does not work for me. I won’t stand for it.
Here is how I see it.
Business IS personal. In fact, it’s one of the most personals things you can do with and for someone. Business is VERY personal. So that is how I conduct my business. Because it’s personal.
I personally fashion every single blade that goes out my doors. I personally see to its quality. I personally see to its craftsmanship. I personally see to it, that it is made in the exact fashion that it should be made, without any compromise. And should I fail in endeavor, then I personally take responsibility for that, and replace that blade, no questions asked.
Luxury is personal. The blades I make are personal. The work I do is personal. This is personal. My business and business with me, is very personal. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.
